Back Country Paintball Boot Camp

Friday, March 25th, 2011

035d634d1ee86a5 Back Country Paintball Boot Campdaf4d213b6e7f66 Back Country Paintball Boot CampThe 2011 spring campaign BACK COUNTRY BOOT CAMP begins with General Fleecy, member of the 506th Muskoka Mercenaries Regiment, training at Back Country Paintball in Bracebridge Ontario on 29 April 2011. This is meant to familiarize the General with all controls. The first mission occurs toward 10 am on April 30th 2011, as part of the airborne operations which began the invasion of Rock Hill. Fleecy is inserted outside the town of Showdown Creek as a pathfinder to lay a drop zone beacon for other ballers. The ballers will be scattered in Showdown creek, leaving Fleecy in a mixed unit formed from various companies. This mixed unit will clear nearby bunkers of paintballers. These opposing ballers led by Aaron Danger Zone Armstrong , who will lead his troops from Snipers Alley through the smoke to defend all bunkers as needed. Danger Zones mission will be to form a full assault on Fleecy and his unit. There will also a rescue of two British officers General Lunchbox and Major Guy. These two commanders were lost in the Mayhem in Muskoka in October of 2010. Through the day challenges will be handed out objectives met and rescues performed. Be there to take on the challenge.

Who will you fight with? Be there to support your General to get your share in this scenario match?

Come to on April 30th to claim your stake in this Second Big Game to be held at your paintball field. All other forces must be taken on, all other activities must not over shadow this monumental day. You must be there – don’t let your general down. Fight along side the best security forces in Muskoka. Take the call – will it be Fleecy leading your team or will “Danger Zone” lead you into battle to secure the Campaign?

Will Danger Zone blow up the secrets before they are captured?

Don’t miss out. Bring all you friends !

What is a Muskoka Paintball Big Game

Sunday, August 14th, 2011

Starting at the very basics; Paintball is a game where two teams or individuals compete for an objective while avoiding being hit

or “marked” by paint shot from an air powered paintball gun or “paintball marker”. Paintballs are actually a mix of gelatine and

food colouring, non-toxic and biodegradable. Paintball is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and is played

everywhere from backyards to professional international leagues.

“Woodsball” goes back to the roots of paintball with participants playing recreationally in wooded fields in a variety of games

like capture the flag or attack and defend. Muskoka with its varied terrain is one of teh best places in the world to play

paintball.

Players are divided evenly into two teams a mix of young and old and a various skill levels and identified with armbands. A

safety and rules briefing precedes the game and explains game details like special units (medics, rocketeers, spys, etc.).

Each team also has a General and several Sargeants who will receive missions and intel from the Game Director  to lead

players into battle. Players that do get hit return to their base and check in with the ref there to be re-inserted into the game.

Game play begins at 10am sharp. The horn blows and two armies race towards each other. Both teams will battle until 3pm to

control vital positions on the field and to complete missions from their General which are worth points for their team. Sabotage

attacks, and hidden secrets weapons are all part of the game. At the end of the day, victory goes to the team that works

together and emerges with the most overall points.
